PiecePal reads a photo of a receipt or invoice, turns it into an itemised digital record, and helps a group work out who owes what. It also offers optional AI-assisted features.

PiecePal is currently free: every feature is available to everyone at no cost, and we do not take card payments on the web. If paid subscriptions are offered inside the iPhone or Android app in the future, they will be sold by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), and their payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds will be handled by Apple or Google under their own terms. PiecePal is not a bank, a payment processor, or a money transmitter for splits. It never holds, sends or receives funds between users. Where the app links out to a payment app, it only pre-fills an amount — the transfer happens entirely in that other app.

Receipt text and AI outputs are generated automatically and can be inaccurate. Always review extracted amounts and AI suggestions before relying on them. They are not financial, tax or legal advice. You are responsible for the amounts you act on.

Keep your credentials and receipt links private; you are responsible for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

You must not misuse PiecePal. In particular you must not:

• use it for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or to harass anyone;
• impersonate someone, choose a username that does so, or send unwanted friend or circle requests;
• send spam or upload content you have no right to share;
• infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy;
• interfere with security — including malware, probing, scraping, brute-forcing links or bypassing rate limits;
• reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the service.

Circle owners and admins can approve, decline and remove people in their circle. We may remove a username, a circle or an account that breaks these rules.

We own PiecePal and all its software, documentation, design and branding. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it within your plan. You keep ownership of the content you upload and let us process it only to provide the service.

PiecePal is provided as-is. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service, and we may change or discontinue features. Keep your own copy of anything important — every receipt can be exported.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, disputes between people splitting a bill, or payments made through third-party apps. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the previous 12 months. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury where the law does not allow it.

You can stop using PiecePal and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. When your account is deleted, your data is removed as described in our privacy policy.
